Chinese total crude steel output rises 7.5% on year over Feb. 1-10

           China's total crude steel output averaged 2.81 million mt/day over Feb. 1-10, up 7.48% on the year and 0.73% lower than over Jan. 20-31, according to the latest 10-day update from the China Iron and Steel Association, or CISA.

          Crude steel produced by CISA members averaged 2.15 million mt/day over Feb. 1-10, up 11.09% on the year, and 1.02% lower than Jan. 20-31 period.

          The latest CISA data showed that market inventories of five major steel products across 20 cities stood at 11.34 million mt as of Feb. 10, up 16.5% compared with late-January.

          All five brands witnessed increases, among which rebar ramped up the most, reaching 5.59 million mt as of Feb. 10, up 22.6% compared with late-January, CSIA data showed.
