Tangshan government introduced the air pollution prevention and control plan on the conference on May 23, including the emission reduction in steel industry.

          Tangshan government strives to complete the entire flue gas treatment and flue gas circulation of the sintering machine, realize the blast furnace gas treatment, the heating furnace denitrification treatment, and so on. Based on the Shougang Qian’an Steel’s environmental governance and management experience, "One Plant, One Policy" is going to be formulated.

          Before autumn and winter, Tangshan steel enterprises will shut down 12 blast furnaces (3*580m3; 3*480m3; 1*600m3; 1*630m3; 2*650m3; 1*680m3; 1*800m3) and 8 blast oxygen furnaces (6*50t; 1*75t; 1*80t) and 19 sintering machines.

          The monthly emission of 22 steel enterprises is required to reduce not less than 30%. The government will formulate Green Transformation Plan of Tangshan Iron and Steel Industry, to promote the backward production capacity reduce, dislocation, restructuring to build a high-quality steel industry base.
