As per statistics from General Administration of Customs, China exported steel of 5.271 million tons, up 870,000 tons or 19.8% year on year. Steel import in May totaled 1.206 million tons, down 74,000 tons or 5.8% yoy.
In January-May, China steel export reached 30.924 million tons, up 5.924 million tons or 23.7% yoy. Steel import in the same period was 6.097 million tons, up 633,000 tons or 11.6% year on year.
