70% Steel Production Lines in East China’s Jiangsu Affected by Dual Control of Energy Consumption

On September 26, Jiangsu Iron and Steel Industry Association held a symposium on the supply and demand of current steel market.

Participants analyzed and evaluated the impact of “dual control” of energy consumption in Jiangsu province. All believed that the dual control of energy consumption is conducive to greatly improving the efficiency of energy use. This round of “dual control” has affected 70% steel production lines in Jiangsu province and the production will not be fully resumed before October 7. Steel production in the province is expected to be reduced by 3 million tons.
