China’s Scrap

Scrap: This week, the domestic scrap price increased. In East China, the purchase price of 6-10mm HMS increased by 100 yuan to 3720 yuan/ton in Jiangsu Province.

In Central and southern China, the scrap price increased by 20-60 yuan/ton, and the scrap price increased by 30-50 yuan/ton in Southwest China.

Some steel mills have stopped production as the Chinese New Year holiday is coming, and the demand for scrap has reduced.

At present, the price of raw materials is too high, so the profit of steel enterprises is low, and scrap price will not increase significantly. It is expected that scrap price will fluctuate in the short term.
