China's Crude Steel Output Down 9.8% YoY in December 2022

          According to statistics from National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in December 2022, the output of crude steel, pig iron and steel products in China was 77.89 million tons, 69 million tons and 111.93 million tons, decreasing by 9.8%, 4.6% and 2.6% from the previous year respectively; in January-December 2022, the output of crude steel, pig iron and steel products in China was 1013 million tons, 863.83 million tons and 1340.34 million tons, a year-on-year decline of 2.1%, 0.8% and 0.8% respectively.
