Cleveland-Cliffs has raised its base prices on all carbon flat-rolled products by a $50/st minimum, the steelmaker said Feb. 2.
The increase is the fourth price increase by the company since late November. This latest price hike would be effective immediately on all new spot orders of carbon hot-rolled, cold-rolled and coated-coil products, Cleveland-Cliffs said in a statement.
The steelmaker is now targeting minimum base spot prices for hot-rolled coil starting at $850/st, it said.
The price hike is identical to Cleveland-Cliff's latest increase on Jan. 17.
Since then, US HRC prices have risen $55/st, with Platts assessing US HRC Feb. 1 at $785/st
