Recently, market rumors suggested that steel mills in Jiangsu Province received notices to reduce production. In response, SteelHome conducted a survey among 13 steel mills in the province.
The findings indicate that while most mills were aware of the rumors, only a few confirmed receiving verbal notifications.
Currently, local short-process steel enterprises have been operating below full capacity since the summer. In contrast, long-process steel mills are enjoying favorable profits, leading to high production enthusiasm.
Without explicit reduction requirements, the likelihood of voluntary further production cuts by these mills remains low.
