China’s Steel Export Prices Show Competitive Advantage in September

According to SteelHome’s data, the average export price (FOB) of CIS hot-rolled coil (HRC) in September was USD 488/ton, up 4.89% month on month; Japan’s HRC export price averaged USD 506/ton, basically unchanged; China’s HRC export price averaged USD 476/ton, down 1.34% month on month.

Compared with the CIS and Japan, China’s prices were USD 11.7/ton and USD 29.1/ton lower, respectively, indicating a clear export price advantage.
