China's main export mills release South Korea rebar prices in October

Two of China's main export mills released their offers for SD400 rebar on Oct. 15 for November shipment, market sources told S&P Global Platts.

One main export mill in eastern China released offer for SD400 rebar 13-25 mm at $510/mt CFR Korea theoretical weight, and $520/mt CFR for 10 mm, said a market source. These two offers were both up $10/mt from September, according to Platts observation.

Rebar prices increased on higher China domestic market prices, said market source, adding that these offers might last to next week to make a deal.

The most actively traded January 2021 rebar futures contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange closed at Yuan 3,612/mt Oct. 15, down Yuan 107/mt from the last price adjustment on Sept. 8.
