Brazil Steel Scrap Exports Down 48% YoY in March 2024

Brazil exported 37,000 tonnes of steel scrap in March 2024, a decrease of 48% year-on-year and a decrease of 50% compared to the previous month. The primary export destinations for its steel scrap products were India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

During the same month, Brazil imported 2,200 tonnes of steel scrap, a decrease of 22% year-on-year. Its main sources of steel scrap imports were Bolivia, the United Kingdom, and Paraguay.
