SteelHome (China) Steel Price Index (SHCNSI) was 85.83 points (3,712 yuan) on March 10, 2026, flat from the previous trading day.

Construction steel: 20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 3,216 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, down 2 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Medium plate: 20mm Q235 medium plate price averaged at 3,385 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, flat from previous trading day.

HRC: 5.75mm Q235 HRC average price was 3,293 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, down 1 yuan/t from previous trading day.

CRC: Average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 3,798 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, flat from previous trading day.

Ex-works price of steel billet in Qian’an fell by 20 yuan to 2,940-2,950 yuan/t on March 10. Spot resources were priced 3,010 yuan/t, down 10 yuan/t.  Transactions for direct-shipped resources were sparse, with transactions mainly concentrated in lower-priced cargoes. Downstream finished steel sales were sluggish, and rolling mills purchased billets mainly on a just-in-time basis. It is expected that billet market prices will remain generally stable in the short term.
