CISA: Daily Average Crude Steel Output of Member Steelmakers in May 1-10, 2026

During May 1-10, 2026, CISA member steel producers collectively produced 21.1 million tons of crude steel, 18.95 million tons of pig iron, and 19.42 million tons of finished steel products.

The average daily output was 2.11 million tons of crude steel, 1.895 million tons of pig iron, and 1.942 million tons of finished steel, respectively.

Compared with the previous ten-day period, the average daily output increased by 3.6% for crude steel, increased by 2.4% for pig iron, and decreased by 9.9% for finished steel.

Based on these figures, it is estimated that during this period, the nationwide average daily output reached 2.83 million tons of crude steel, 2.39 million tons of pig iron, and 4.1 million tons of finished steel.
