China import billet price drops on weak demand.

          Indonesian billet was heard offered at $630/mt CFR China and at $630/mt CFR Manila for 3SP 150 mm for early-February shipment, said two market sources. No deal was confirmed in both China and the Philippines.

          One Manila-based trader said there would not be demand for 3SP billet. A deal was confirmed booked to the Philippines for 5SP 125 mm Russian billet at $635/mt CFR Manila for February shipment, and this price was still available with no further buying intentions.

          An Indian billet offer was received at $630/mt CFR China for blast furnace materials for February shipment, said a trader.

          Platts assessed China import 3SP 150 mm spot billet at $617/mt CFR China Dec. 21, down $3/mt from the previous session.

          Platts assessed Tangshan Q235 billet at Yuan 4,460/mt Dec. 21, unchanged from the previous session, and Southeast Asia 5SP 130 mm spot billet at $625/mt CFR Manila, also unchanged over the same period.
