CISA Members

          During May 11-20, 2022, CISA member steel manufacturers produced 22.991 million tons of crude steel, 20.3083 million tons of pig iron, 22.1943 million tons of steel products.

          Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers was 2.2991 million tons, down 6,200 tons or 0.27% from the daily output during May 1-10; daily output of pig iron was 2.0308 million tons, down 900 tons or 0.04% from the daily output during May 1-10; daily output of steel products was 2.2194 million tons, up 57,400 tons or 2.65% from the daily output during May 1-10.

National Output

          It’s estimated that during May 11-20, 2022, China produced 31.5261 million tons of crude steel, 26.1768 million tons of pig iron, 39.615 million tons of steel products.

          On daily basis, China produced crude steel of 3.1526 million tons, pig iron of 2.6177 million tons; steel products of 3.9615 million tons.

Inventory

          Finished steel products inventories of CISA members totaled 19.9774 million tons during May 11-20, 2022, up 1.2289 million tons or 6.55% from May 1-10, 2021.
